Mike Patone, CSCS, CFC
Mike graduated from Queen's University
after studying Physical and Health Education and Sociology.
He is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist through
the National Strength and Conditioning Association. Mike
has been working in the fitness industry for the past four
years helping athletes of all levels, from many different
sports, to reach their performance goals. He assisted with
the Montreal Canadiens for one season helping evaluate players
during training camp and monitoring strength and conditioning
sessions throughout the season.
In addition to working with top level athletes Mike has
also enjoys working with active individuals, enabling them
to achieve and maintain a healthy active lifestyle. Mike
evaluates, designs and implements programs specifically
for the needs of each individual he works with. Programs
can be designed to be performed at our facility, at home
gyms or any commercial facility.
Customized Functional Fitness Package
Includes one hour assessment,one
and a half hour training session and a customized exercise
program.
The initial session will begin with a sit down consultation
with John, during which information is gathered with respect
to injury, exercise history, goals, availability, etc.
Following the consultation an evaluation consisting of
manual muscle testing for strength and flexibility, and
movement/stability screening will be performed.
A customized strength and conditioning program will be
developed based on the consultation and evaluation results.
The second session will be booked (typically the following
week) and appropriate technique for each of the strength and
flexibility exercises will be demonstrated and provided on a
CD for future reference.
Training Sessions
One-hour coaching sessions are available to individuals who
have an existing program and wish to have another run
through of their exercises. Individuals will benefit from
the guidance and coaching, ensuring that all exercises are
being performed with the correct technique. Additionally,
minor program modifications and progressions may be made
during this time.
