massage therapy
Massage therapy has been used for thousands of years to
treat a variety of ailments. Massage therapists are soft
tissue specialists who focus their treatments on muscles,
tendons, ligaments, joint capsules, nerves, and fascia.
Treatment is an active process for their clients, as
remedial exercise and re-education play a crucial role in
the healing process
Expectations
An assessment specific to your condition will be performed
to rule out certain conditions, and to identify the
structures involved. The therapist will propse a treatment
plan specific to the condition for which you are seeking
massage therapy. This may include the frequency and duration
of appointments and the types of treatment modalities (e.g.,
Swedish massage, hydrotherapy, trigger point therapy,
fascial techniques) Clients are invited to discuss any
aspect of the treatment care plan. All information gathered
during the appointment is strictly confidential.

Andrea’s approach to massage therapy is to assess and treat each client in the most thorough way possible. She is dedicated to her profession and is constantly seeking to increase her skills and knowledge as a therapist. She works with clients to decrease pain, reduce muscle tightness and stiffness, increase flexibility and range of motion, relieve tension headaches, improve posture, treat sprains and strains, improve TMJ function, decrease the aches and pains associated with pregnancy, encourage relaxation.
Andrea graduated in March of 2009 from the International Academy of Massage and received the Executive Director’s Award for Academic Excellence.
